At Compass Bible Church’s Kids Ministry, we provide the kindling in the heart of every child that God might one day ignite into a passion for Christ. In our unique, lively, and age-appropriate learning environment, we pave the way for our young learners to explore God’s word deeply. With a love for God and a keen desire to nurture the next generation, our volunteers turn every class into an enriching journey toward knowing, loving, and serving God. This Week’s Kids Min
Amazingly, God is willing to bless us and call his own. Your kids will see that awesome truth in this week’s lesson! In Genesis 11-12, God calls Abram (soon to be Abraham) out of his homeland and blesses him with an incredible promise that he will bless all the families of the earth. Then we will learn about Abram’s faith and his good response to the promises of God. But this isn’t just about how Abram responded but about how too your kids can respond with the same faith to the promises of God today! We hope and pray this lesson helps your children understand and apply these truths in daily life.
Safety
The safety of your children and the integrity of our program are paramount to us. All volunteers in our ministry are familiar faces to the church’s pastors and leaders. Additionally, each adult volunteer must complete an extensive background check and undergo training on preventing sexual harassment. We also have a dedicated security team and established safety protocols to further secure the well-being of your children. Your trust in us is valuable, and we’re committed to safeguarding it.
Music
Music, with its profound influence, plays an instrumental role in our Kids Ministry. Our dedicated music team strives to harness its power, aligning it with engaging Bible lessons to illuminate God’s character for children. Every song is meticulously selected for its theological accuracy, ensuring it is also lively and captivating for the kids. A time of music is woven into each service. While our youngest enjoy music time within their classrooms, everyone else partakes in a collective session of singing, expressive movements, and exploration of our magnificent God.
Our Programs
Generations of Grace is a comprehensive curriculum that navigates children through an immersive journey into God’s word. The lessons intertwine biblical narratives with moral teachings, showcasing God’s divine plan. Adaptable across age groups, the content challenges and motivates students to deepen their spiritual understanding. The goal is to teach kids biblical truths and help them apply it in their everyday life.
In our babies program, we demonstrate Christ’s love through our actions with infants and crawlers. We acknowledge that this could be a child’s first interaction with the world beyond their home, so we provide a safe and caring environment. This allows parents to focus on worship in the sanctuary without distractions. And yes, even the youngest ones get their own brief lessons and a bit of music!
We firmly believe that even our smallest kids can grasp significant truths about God! From a young age, we unfold the overarching story of the Bible: the creation of the universe by God, His deep-seated love for them, and His ultimate gift – His Son. Our early childhood curriculum is harmonized with all other age groups, yet it’s meticulously tailored to fit their unique developmental stage. We’re confident your children will truly love this experience!
We passionately believe that our lower elementary students are more than ready to unravel deeper layers of God’s love and teachings. With this in mind, our classrooms venture into the richness of Scripture, exploring its profound truths. Our tailored curriculum ensures a smooth learning progression, while mindfully adapting to their blossoming cognitive skills. This stage also introduces the joy of camaraderie, as students begin to weave the threads of lifelong friendships. Ultimately, our sincere hope is that each step of this journey will serve to bring glory to God in the life of your child.
As our upper elementary students advance, we steer their curiosity towards profound theological concepts, nurturing their spiritual growth. Our enriched program probes deeper into moral values, the essence of faith, and the dynamics of prayer, allowing them to build a robust understanding of God’s teachings. Through their progress and the knowledge they acquire, we aspire for them to reflect God’s glory in their daily lives.
