The Winter Olympics are coming up, where we will watch athletes at the top of their respective sports compete to be the best, to take home the gold medal for their country. Some of them will compete alone, in sports like speed skating, or ski jumping, or the biathlon. But others will play as part of a team, working together, depending on each other, and contributing their piece to the corporate pursuit of glory.
When it comes to Christianity, we’re looking at a team pursuit, not an individual one. We need each other. We need to show up for each other, and we need to commit to being used by God in the lives of our brothers and sisters for their good and His glory.
As those who have been called out, we’ve not only been called out to congregate, but, as we’ll see in part two of our series this weekend, we’ve been called out and into community. Join us Sunday at 10 a.m. to find out why we need you and you need us as we pursue Christ together.
