Message: “What is the Church? (1 Corinthians 1:1-3)” from Pastor PJ Berner

A message from the series "1 Corinthians." In 1 Corinthians 1:1-3, Paul defines a healthy church. It’s a community that belongs to God, it’s a community that consists of those sanctified in Christ, and it’s a community called to live in holy submission to Christ as Lord. This opening passage provides a framework for the rest of the book, as 1 Corinthians unpacks the picture of a church that belongs to God and to one another. It’s my prayer that God will use this study of 1 Corinthians to make us a stronger, healthier, and more effective church as he continues to do work here in North Texas.

Message: “Can YOU Trust God? (Psalm 119:169-176)” from Pastor PJ Berner

A message from the series "Summer In The Word." We live in a world that constantly tells us to depend on ourselves—our abilities, our finances, our plans, and our accomplishments. But what happens when those things aren’t enough? Psalm 119 reminds us that there is only One who never fails. In the final verses of this remarkable chapter, we’ll discover three reasons why depending on God will never leave you wanting. We’ll see why He alone is worthy of our trust, why His Word is such an incredible gift, and why His strength is exactly what we need for every season of life.\

Message: “At Odds (Psalm 119:81-88)” from Pastor PJ Berner

A message from the series "Summer In The Word." What do you do when you find that a devotion to God’s Word puts you at odds with this world? The psalmist knew that tension, and it comes out in Psalm 119:81-88. His loyalty to the word and the statutes of the Lord had put him in a desperate position. He even felt that his enemies were going to end his life. Still, his trust in the Lord’s ability to save him caused him to cling to his hope that the Lord would sustain him. You and I can have this same confidence in the Lord and His Word. Join us this Sunday to find out what to do when a devotion to God’s Word puts us at odds with the world. See you at 9 or 11 for the next installment of our Summer in the Word series.

Message: “What Good is God’s Word? (Psalm 119:49-56)” from Pastor PJ Berner

A message from the series "Summer In The Word." My kids have a book called, “The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook,” and it gives all kinds of advice on how to handle a snake bite or a bear attack or jumping off a building into a dumpster! It’s all information that we’ll probably never use, but if we found ourselves in one of those situations, it would be good to know what it had to say. The Bible isn’t a guide for situations you’ll probably never find yourself in. It’s a guide for everyday life helping us know what to do when hope wavers, how to respond to the derision of the world, how to think about the wicked, and where to go to find comfort. In this week’s passage from Psalm 119, we’ll be reminded of just how useful the Word is for helping us survive the day by remembering the promises of God. Join us Sunday at 9 or 11 as we continue with our Summer in the Word series with a sermon from Psalm 119:49-56.

Message: “Committed (Psalm 119:57-64)” from Pastor PJ Berner

A message from the series "Summer In The Word." The author of Psalm 119 loved God’s Word — he tells us so directly (119:97, 113), and the way he describes his devotion shows it. In our passage this week, Psalm 119:57-64, the psalmist paints a picture of a life truly committed to God’s Word: “I promise to keep your words… I turn my feet to your testimonies… I do not forget your law…” And we’ll find that this devotion flows from a life truly committed to God. Put another way: this weekend we’re going to see that a commitment to the God of the Word will inevitably produce a devotion to the word of God. Join us Sunday at 9 or 11 as we continue our Summer in the Word series.

Message: “What Stands Forever? (Psalm 119:89-96)” from Marc Cogan

A message from the series "Summer In The Word." Ever thought about how everything has an expiration date in this life, not just the milk in the fridge? That realization can make even the most faithful Christian uneasy. We need someone who can outlast it all, and we desperately need to hear his voice. This Sunday we are in Psalm 119:89–96 to find the stability we crave.
