What do you do when you find that a devotion to God’s Word puts you at odds with this world? The psalmist knew that tension, and it comes out in Psalm 119:81-88. His loyalty to the word and the statutes of the Lord had put him in a desperate position. He even felt that his enemies were going to end his life. Still, his trust in the Lord’s ability to save him caused him to cling to his hope that the Lord would sustain him. You and I can have this same confidence in the Lord and His Word.
